Bowie would be proud of our women!

Can I tell you that my favorite new series in Charleston is the "Women &" series started by Hazel Ketchum and Lindsay Hollar at The Charleston Music Hall. Hazel and Lindsay gather a group of Charleston's most amazing female musicians together for a night of music to celebrate different artists. We've experienced Women and Young, Women and Waits and this past month we got to experience WOMEN AND BOWIE!!

I have to say that the Bowie night has been our favorite, maybe because David Bowie is my hero and if we would have met we'd of coarse been dearest weird friends. When we heard that the next series would be honoring David Bowie Monet and I signed up to help recreate some Bowie inspired make-up for the musicians. We had an absolute blast painting and glittering the Women of Bowie night. I'm sure Charles has been finding lots glitter bombs around the Charleston Music Hall.

Thank you to all the women who made this magic night of music happen and to the Music Hall for the sound and light show (which was the best light show I've seen so far at the Hall!!) I know we made Bowie proud.

"I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring." _David Bowie
